AHHHHH MY EYES ARE BURNING
Ok ok, enough silliness. So this is what I've been working on for the past month or so. (little bit here, little bit there) and it's still not entirely done because this is a design I came up with for the woodwind tshirt.
Every year, the brass section gets a brass section tshirt. So this year our woodwind instructor decided to try and get us woodwind tshirts! As long as we could find a good design for one. Well our marching band show this year is called iRock, it's a rock show (obviously) and it sounds kind of like you're flicking through your ipod's classic rock songs. So I thought, what about air-guitaring on each instrument in the woodwind section?? The people that have seen the design so far seem to like it. But this is the first full color version.
I'm really really happy with how it turned out (when printed out the colors aren't NEARLY as eye-burning) The sillouhettes were sketched and inked by a black faber castell brush pen. Each pose was scanned seperately in black and white mode, with inking around the instruments and white gauntlets. Then each was taken seperately into photoshop and given the background color and had the now unnessacary lining around the instruments and gauntlets taken out.
I'm also really in love with the composition of all the poses, again, these were all drawn seperate from each other. So I'm was happily surprised at the set up. Also, in the actual tshirt design I see the flute offset vertically(raised up) from the clarinet and saxophone.

Hahha, random trivia, I had to get my brother to pose for the clarinet pose (he plays clarinet and is in the marching band with me) and I posed for the saxophone one.

Anyway, I'm just really proud of this and wanted to share with you guys, hopefully the woodwind section likes it
